Witness

I want to witness
The beauty of this love.
To see its first embrace
To hear the sounds.

To understand the surrender
That had been long sought
And hard fought.

In the grassy field I see them walking
In the semi privacy of the woods
There is more than just talking.

Along the riverbank
They stashed away
To be alone on that springlike day.

No flower would rival this beauty
No indifference to this love's duty.

Together they lay beside
Two souls, without devide
Watching the summer night's sky.

Wondering what each is thinking
Each other's eternal wine they had been drinking
Holding themselves close without tiring
As they are one and each other admiring.

To touch without hands
To speak without words
They become one
And let go.
